There was no surprise when 12th ranked Castellbisbal (3-9) lost on the road to fourth ranked Esparreguera (8-4) 68-56 on Saturday. Esparreguera outrebounded Castellbisbal 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for forward Ruben Morales (193-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Miquel Moliner (177-90) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Marc Manes (196-86) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and center Gerard Galbete (204-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Castellbisbal. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Esparreguera. They moved-up to third place in Group C-A, which they share with Mataro Feimat and Igualada. Castellbisbal lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
