Regular Season Round 14: Fellbach - Kaiserslautern 97-83

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Fellbach (5-8) defeated at home 8th ranked Kaiserslautern (5-8) 97-83 on Sunday. Fellbach looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Scooter Gillette (206-90, college: Fair Dickinson) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian point guard Matija Sagadin (183-84) chipped in 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Forward Thomas Erb (192-82) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Hungarian guard Gergely Hosszu (190-86) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fellbach moved-up to seventh place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Kaiserslautern. Fellbach will face Mainz (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
