Important game to mention about took place in Saigon. Second ranked Singapore Singapore Slingers (6-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Vietnamese Saigon Heat (6-4) 78-75 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saigon Heat. American guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (196-91, college: Colgate) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Chris Dierker (196, college: Madonna) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Saigon Heat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Singapore Slingers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-3 record having just one point less than leader Formosa D. Saigon Heat at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. Singapore Slingers will play against league's leader Formosa D. in Changhua City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saigon Heat will play at home against Mono Vampire and hopes to get back on the winning track.
