Regular Season Round 24: Fukuoka Rizing - Shiga L-Stars 65-56

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (5-19) beat at home 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (5-19) 65-56 on Sunday. It was a good game for American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: W.Kentucky) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Ryuji Kawai used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and international forward Koyo Takahashi (192-94) added 16 points in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Shiga L-Stars. Shiga L-Stars lost seventh consecutive game. Fukuoka Rizing will face Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. and hope to win that game.
