Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: Rabotnicki (#2) and Vardar (#9). Vardar was smashed at home by 18 points 89-107 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Rabotnicki shot 67.3 percent from the field and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Rabotnicki had a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Vardar was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for international point guard Boban Stajic (185-93, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. International power forward Bojan Krstevski (206-89, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) for the winners. Five Rabotnicki players scored in double figures. American guard Junious Prowell (188, college: S.Crescent Tech) replied with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) and Pavle Mihajloski (195-99) added 11 points in the effort for Vardar. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Blokotehna, which they share with MZT Skopje. Vardar lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Rabotnicki will face Gostivar (#4) at home in the next round. Vardar will play against Kozuv in Gevgelija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
