The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Souffelweyersheim (14-1) on the court of twelfth ranked Kaysersberg on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Kaysersberg 78-76. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Souffelweyersheim. Kaysersberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Senegalese forward Elson Mendy (200-85) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Antony Labanca (192-94) answered with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Ivorian center Cedric Bah (198-94) added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Souffelweyersheim. Souffelweyersheim's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kaysersberg (5-10) moved-up to tenth place in Group A, which they share with ALS Basket. Souffelweyersheim at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Saint-Quentin. Kaysersberg is looking forward to face higher ranked Orchesien BC (#3) in Orchies in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Souffelweyersheim will play at home against Saint Vallier and is hoping to win this game.
