Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Bayi Rockets (4-17) lost to thirteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (10-11) in Nanjing 74-82 on Tuesday. Jiangsu Dragons outrebounded Bayi Rockets 48-36 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) notched 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Quanxi Wu (210-94) supported him with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by international guard Lei Meng (193-95) did not help to save the game for Bayi Rockets. The former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Bayi Rockets' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shandong GS. Bayi Rockets lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the nineteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Tianjin GL. Jiangsu Dragons will meet higher ranked Sturgeons (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bayi Rockets will play against Blue Whales (#18) in Sichuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
