Regular Season Round 18: Ternopil-TNEU - Rivne 92-84

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ternopil. First ranked Ternopil-TNEU faced second-best Rivne-OSHVSM. Host Ternopil-TNEU (14-2) defeated guests from Rivne (13-3) 92-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rivne-OSHVSM. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Rivne-OSHVSM trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 24-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-92 at the end of the game. Ternopil-TNEU looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Rivne-OSHVSM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Mykyta Naiko (197-92) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Oleg Rudakov (194-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Yevgen Koroviyakov (199-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Nazar Kisilchuk (195-97) added 15 points respectively. Rivne-OSHVSM's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Ternopil-TNEU maintains first position with 14-2 record. Rivne-OSHVSM at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Ternopil-TNEU are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Rivne-OSHVSM at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rivne-OSHVSM will have a break next round.
