Regular Season Round 16: Ehingen - Art.Dragons 85-83

A very close game took place in Allmendingen between Ehingen/Urspringschule and Artland Dragons. Eleventh ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (8-8) got a very close home victory over 9th ranked Artland Dragons (7-9). Ehingen/Urspringschule managed to escape with a 2-point win 85-83 on Saturday evening. Ehingen/Urspringschule outrebounded Artland Dragons 43-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Kevin Yebo (202-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Tanner Leissner (201-95, college: New Hampshire) who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Demetris Morant (206-92, college: FGCU) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Jannes Hundt (182-96) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ehingen/Urspringschule moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Artland Dragons lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Walter Tigers. Ehingen/Urspringschule will meet higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Artland Dragons will play against White Wings (#16) and hope to secure a win.
