TBL top team - Karesi Spor (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Edirne (2-9) 126-83. Karesi Spor dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Edirne's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 25 passes made by Edirne's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Umit Sonkol (206-82) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Ibrahim Yildirim (190-90) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Oguzhan Sungur (205-91) produced 27 points and 6 rebounds and forward Omer Gogus (201-89) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five Karesi Spor and four Edirne players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Karesi Spor have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Edirne lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Yalova Bld and Bandirma Kir.. Karesi Spor will meet Selcuklu (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Edirne will play against Sigortam.net ITU (#7) and hope to secure a win.
