Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Campli (0-12) was outplayed on the road by twelfth ranked Porto S.Elpidio (5-8) 79-56 on Sunday. Porto S.Elpidio made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Porto S.Elpidio outrebounded Campli 42-31 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Antonio Serroni (190-87) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Swingman Francesco Cinalli (200-97) chipped in 16 points. Montenegrin power forward Stefan Pekovic (202-99) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Giacomo Scortica (192-99) added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Porto S.Elpidio maintains twelfth place in B with 5-8 record. Loser Campli still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Porto S.Elpidio will face higher ranked Nardo (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Campli will play against Teramo (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
