Very predictable result in Taiyuan where second ranked Flying Leopards (22-4) defeated 14th ranked Brave Dragons (9-17) 112-102. Flying Leopards players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 7 assists. American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Flying Leopards' coach Shiqiang Guo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Shabazz Muhammad (198-92, college: UCLA) answered with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and international forward Junwei Ren (203-90) added 14 points in the effort for Brave Dragons. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Flying Leopards. Defending champion maintains second place with 22-4 record behind leader Guangdong ST. Brave Dragons lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Flying Leopards' next round opponent will be Beijing Ducks (#5) on the road. Brave Dragons will play against Gold Lions (#20) and hope to win that game.
