No shocking result in a game when second ranked HLA Alicante (11-4) beat at home 6th ranked Azuqueca (8-7) 80-70 on Saturday. It was a good game for Swedish forward Alexander Larsson (208-95, college: Cal-Riverside) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. HLA Alicante's coach Pedro Rivero used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Ervin Mitchell (193-94, college: Grambling St.) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Carlos Calvo (178-94) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Azuqueca. HLA Alicante maintains second place in Silver with 11-4 record having just one point less than leader Aquimisa LZ. Newly promoted Azuqueca keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. HLA Alicante will face Albacete (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Azuqueca will play against Villarrobledo (#3) and hope to win that game.
