Regular Season Round 28: Shinshu BW - Yamagata 72-57

Very expected game in Nagano where 5th ranked Yamagata (12-16) was defeated by first ranked Shinshu BW (24-4) 72-57 on Sunday. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Shinshu BW have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. Loser Yamagata dropped to the third place with 16 games lost. Shinshu BW will face Tokyo HT (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Yamagata will play against Aomori Watts and hope to win that game.
