Very important is a road loss of second ranked Levice (14-5) against seventh ranked Rieker KN (8-11) on Wednesday night. Visiting Levice was crushed by Rieker KN in Komarno 87-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Levice. They outrebounded Levice 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) stepped up and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Brooks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: Florida St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Rieker KN moved-up to sixth place. Defending champion Levice keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Iskra Svit. Rieker KN will play against league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levice will play against Iskra Svit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
