Regular Season Round 29: Libertadores - Fuerza Regia 72-88

Very expected game when 6th ranked Libertadores (9-18) lost to second ranked Fuerza Regia (21-7) in Queretaro 72-88 on Wednesday. Fuerza Regia shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 4 assists. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Fuerza Regia's coach Francisco Olmos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-88, college: Stillman) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Reggie Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) added 13 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Libertadores. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Mineros. Libertadores lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. Fuerza Regia will face Laguneros (#5) in Torreon in the next round. Libertadores will play on the road against Aaguacateros in Michoacan and hope to win that game.
