Regular Season Round 24: Kagoshima - Saitama Bron. 78-85

The biggest surprise of round 24 in B League D3 was guest Saitama Broncos' (#6) road victory over Kagoshima (#8) 85-78 on Saturday evening. Saitama Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and center Antone Warren (208-93, college: Antelope Valley CC) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Saitama Broncos and four Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Kagoshima's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saitama Broncos maintains sixth position with 8-10 record. Kagoshima lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagoshima will play again at home against Saitama Broncos (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
