Everything went according to plan in Valladolid where ninth ranked Carramimbre (10-8) beat 12th ranked Leyma Basquet (8-11) 75-65 on Friday. Carramimbre dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Leyma Basquet's 22. They outrebounded Leyma Basquet 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) chipped in 9 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence, agency: Interperformances) with 19 points and forward Sergi Pino (197-87, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points. Leyma Basquet's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Carramimbre have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Melilla and Ourense. Loser Leyma Basquet dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost.
