Regular Season Round 17: Langen - Fellbach 84-77

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked TV Langen (7-9) beat at home 10th ranked Fellbach (5-10) 84-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded Fellbach 46-25 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. TV Langen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Micha Hoffmann (191-0) stepped up and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds. TV Langen's coach Markus Kuhn allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. James Arbinger (191-87) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian point guard Matija Sagadin (183-84) scored 20 points. TV Langen maintains seventh place in South-West with 7-9 record, which they share with Stuttgart. Fellbach lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. TV Langen will face higher ranked Karlsruhe SC (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fellbach will play against Stuttgart (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
