Top ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (13-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixteenth ranked Cholet Basket (5-12) 76-68. Cholet Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's 34. Cholet Basket had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Franklin Hassell (205-88, college: ODU) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard London Perrantes (188-94, college: Virginia) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists.
