Twelfth-ranked Poitiers (6-9) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Sluc Nancy (10-5). Sluc Nancy managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Sluc Nancy made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ivorian point guard Mouloukou-Souleyman Diabate (181-87) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. American guard JR Reynolds (188-84, college: Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 19 points and Kevin Harley (196-94) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Poitiers in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Sluc Nancy have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Orleans and Saint-Chamond. Poitiers at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Sluc Nancy's next round opponent will be Nantes (#9) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Poitiers will play against Quimper UJAP and hope to win that game.
