Regular Season Round 22: Prometey - Mariupol 102-50

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kamianske. First ranked Prometey faced 4th ranked Mariupol. Host Prometey (18-1) smashed guests from Mariupol (9-10) 102-50. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mariupol's 32. Prometey forced 21 Mariupol turnovers and outrebounded them 47-27 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Mariupol's players. Prometey brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Martez Walker (193-95, college: Oakland) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Oleksandr Biella (201-95) replied with 14 points and guard Kirilo Zuev (196-93) added 5 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Mariupol. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first position with 18-1 record. Mariupol lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. Prometey will again play against Mariupol (#5) at home in the next round. Mariupol will have a break next round.
