Fifteenth-ranked Baunach (5-14) made lots of trouble for first ranked Chemnitz (15-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Chemnitz managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Chemnitz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Baunach's players. Swingman Jonas Richter (205-97) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Malte Ziegenhagen (195-91, college: Keiser) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Chemnitz's coach Rodrigo Pastore used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Czech center Adam Pechacek (207-95) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (190-99, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Four Baunach players scored in double figures. Chemnitz maintains first place with 15-3 record. Baunach at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Hanau.
