Duesseldorf outrebounded Deutzer 40-22 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-91, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 16 points and 4 assists for the winners and naturalized Eritrean forward Jonathan Mesghna (198-89, college: Mont.St.-Billings) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds.
