There was no surprise in Las Palmas where 5th ranked Quintanar (9-8) was defeated by first ranked Gran Canaria II (14-3) 74-61 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gran Canaria II made 12 blocks. The best player for the winners was Finnish forward Thor Bjerregard (199-95) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocks. Polish center Aleksander Balcerowski (216-0, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Gran Canaria II players scored in double figures.
