There was a minor upset in Zaragoza where higher ranked Castelldefels (7-8) was defeated by tenth ranked Alfinden (7-8) 76-68 on Saturday. Castelldefels was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Roberto Perez (192-93) who scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jose Malo (203-96) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Five Alfinden players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Felix Lopez (190-85) who recorded 20 points and 4 assists and Marc Sune (-96) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Alfinden moved-up to sixth place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Castelldefels. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
