There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Kronberg (6-12) won against at home higher ranked Giessen Pointers (9-9) 88-75 on Saturday. Kronberg made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for Felix Hecker (192-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Noah Litzbach (196-0) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Kronberg players scored in double figures. American swingman Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem Intern.) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian swingman Amil Klisura (196-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Giessen Pointers. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kronberg moved-up to tenth place in South-West, which they share with HAKRO Merlins II. Newly promoted Giessen Pointers keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
