Rather predictable result in Praha where second ranked GBA Europe (14-1) smashed 5th ranked Nymburk (9-7) 70-44. GBA Europe forced 19 Nymburk turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Estonian forward Artur Konontsuk (198-0) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Seikou Sisoho-Jawara (190-0) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Point guard Lukas Mares (182-0) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Miloslav Kulich (200-0) added 12 points respectively for Nymburk in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for GBA Europe. They maintain second place with 14-1 record behind leader USK Praha. Nymburk at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. GBA Europe will play against Slavoj (#11) in Litomerice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nymburk will play at home against Synthesia (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
