No shocking result in a game when Olimpia (13-3) crushed Victoria (7-10) in Grodno 102-66 on Thursday. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Victoria only scored nine points from the stripe. Olimpia forced 20 Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Victoria was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). International swingman Arina Masko (175-99) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Forward Veronika Samoiluk (184-1) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Irina Kravchenko (182-1) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Victoria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia will face Tsmoki-Minsk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Victoria will play against Gorizont and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
