There was a surprise result when Sokol Vysehrad (3-16) defeated at home Novy Jicin (8-11) 68-62 on Friday. Sokol Vysehrad made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Roman Radovskii (195) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds. Sokol Vysehrad's coach Miroslav Marko used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side center Tadeas Janik (201-94) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Adam Choleva (195-95) scored 7 points and 16 rebounds. Sokol Vysehrad will face Olomouc SK (#20) on the road in the next round.
