Regular Season Round 23: Bordeaux - Angers 71-65

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Etoile Angers (12-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked JSA Bordeaux (14-8) 71-65 on Friday. It was a great evening for the former international center Ludovic Vaty (205-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. Center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists. Newly promoted JSA Bordeaux maintains third place in Group B with 14-8 record having just three points less than leader Challans. Etoile Angers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face La Rochelle (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Etoile Angers will play against Vitre (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
