Very expected game when 13th ranked Salzkotten (4-15) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Herford (13-6) 107-75 on Saturday. Herford shot 69.0 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Herford looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Volkus (203-85, college: Redlands CC) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and British forward Elliott Sentance (193-94, college: Lethbridge) who added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Herford players scored in double figures. Swingman Felix Wenningkamp (195-88) responded with 20 points and guard Hanno Kretschmann (-97) scored 16 points. Salzkotten's coach Stefan Schettke gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Herford moved-up to fourth place in West, which they share with Dorsten and Grevenbroich. Loser Salzkotten keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost.
