Regular Season Round 22: Baunach - Rostock 64-78

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Baunach (5-17) was defeated at home by third ranked Rostock (14-8) 78-64 on Saturday. Rostock looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) scored 25 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side Estonian Henri Drell (205-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and Czech center Adam Pechacek (207-95) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Rostock maintains third position with 14-8 record having just one point less than leader Chemnitz, which they share with Heidelberg. Baunach lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Rostock will meet at home MLP Academics Heidelberg (#4) in the next round. Baunach will play against White Wings (#15) in Hanau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
