Regular Season Round 39: Lenadores - Fuerza Regia 82-79

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Fuerza Regia (29-8) on the court of third ranked Lenadores on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Lenadores 82-79. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. It was a great evening for American-Puerto Rican Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) with 20 points and Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Five Lenadores and four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Fuerza Regia's coach Francisco Olmos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lenadores (23-14) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Lenadores maintains third place having six points less than leader Capitanes. Fuerza Regia at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Lenadores are again looking forward to face league's leader Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round.
