Regular Season Round 24: Vitre - Angers 75-80

The biggest surprise of round 24 was guest Etoile Angers' (13-10) road victory over Vitre (#6) 80-75 on Friday evening. Etoile Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vitre's players. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) who scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Erwan Andre (201-89) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Jerrell Wright (204-91, college: La Salle) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Etoile Angers moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with La Charite and Union Tours. Vitre at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Lorient. Etoile Angers is looking forward to face Brissac Anjou (#13) in Brissac-Quince in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vitre will play at home against La Charite (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
