There was no surprise in Logrono where 11th ranked Baskonia (7-15) was outplayed by seventh ranked Cocinas.com (12-10) 91-65 on Saturday. Cocinas.com outrebounded Baskonia 36-19 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Cocinas.com especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Baskonia's players. Forward Jorge Lafuente (196-91) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Miguel Gonzalez (201-99) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Lautaro Lopez (188-99) scored 15 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cocinas.com maintains seventh position in Silver with 12-10 record. Loser Baskonia keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost.
