Regular Season Round 19: Formosa D. - Westports MD 82-76

Rather predictable result in Changhua City where fourth ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (11-6) defeated 8th ranked Malaysian Westports MD (6-10) 82-76 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Formosa D. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Westports MD's players. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) helped adding 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side Winston Shepard (203-93, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Chris Eversley (201-91, college: Cal Poly - SLO) scored 17 points. Five Westports MD players scored in double figures. Formosa D. moved-up to third place. Loser Westports MD keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Formosa D. will face bottom-ranked Zhuhai (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Westports MD will play against Singapore Slingers and hope to win that game.
