Bottom-ranked SAM (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 103-50 loss to sixth ranked Nymburk (11-7) in Nymburk. They also forced 28 SAM turnovers and outrebounded them 45-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nymburk players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by SAM's players. Power forward Lubos Kovar (203-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Rostislav Jirak (167-0) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Nymburk players scored in double figures. Center Jaroslav Kubin (205-0) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Vitezslav Rygl (195-2) added 6 points in the effort for SAM. Nymburk moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sokol Pisek. SAM lost their eighteenth game in a row. They still close the standings. Nymburk will play against higher ranked Orli (#3) in Prostejov in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SAM will play at home against Slavoj (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
