Second Stage Round 10: Suduva-Mantinga - Palanga 98-80

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Marijampole. Second ranked Suduva-Mantinga faced one of their biggest challengers Palanga. Host Suduva-Mantinga (28-10) defeated guests from Palanga (24-12) 98-80. Suduva-Mantinga looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Point guard Gediminas Navickas (180-84) fired 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Justinas Jogminas (198-97) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Rytis Vaisvila used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Aurimas Majauskas (202-93, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Aidas Viskontas (185-86) added 10 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga maintains second position with 28-10 record having just fourteen point less than leader Vytis. Palanga at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga are looking forward to face Neptunas-Akv. (#5) in Klaipeda in the next round. Palanga will play on the road against Telsiai in Telsiu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
