Regular Season Round 22: Elchingen - Giessen 46ers II 69-70

The most exciting game of round 22 in the ProB took place in Elchingen. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th ranked Elchingen (12-10) to second ranked Giessen 46ers II (14-8) 70-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Elchingen. 25 personal fouls committed by Elchingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Bjarne Kraushaar (190-99) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Alen Pjanic (199-97) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Giessen 46ers II players scored in double figures. Hungarian-Serbian point guard Stefan Fekete (190-86) replied with 21 points and 5 assists and point guard Marko Krstanovic (196-97) added 2 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Elchingen. Elchingen's coach Borislav Kurtovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Giessen 46ers II have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South with 14-8 record having seven points less than leader Bayer Giants. Elchingen at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with FC Bayern II and Schwenningen.
