JX-Eneos cruised past Denso Iris in the semifinal opener. JX-Eneos S. outrebounded Denso Iris 48-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-91) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and international power forward Kadysha Umezawa (183-98) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and international center Himawari Akaho (184-98) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
