Second Stage Round 3: Svitavy - BK Pardubice 71-63

Date: March 2, 2019
Rather predictable result when Basketbal Svitavy (17-8) defeated at home BK Pardubice (14-12) 71-63 on Saturday. Basketbal Svitavy had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (192-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American power forward CJ Aiken (206-90, college: St.Joseph's) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. Basketbal Svitavy's coach Lubomir Ruzicka allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Kamil Svrdlik (205-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Octagon Europe) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian forward Ozren Pavlovic (203-94, college: Hawaii) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Basketbal Svitavy will face Brno (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BK Pardubice will play against CEZ Nymburk and hope to win that game.
