Regular Season Round 24: Alicante - Estela 81-65

Date: March 2, 2019
An interesting game for HLA Alicante (20-4) which hosted in Alicante second-best Estela (14-10). First ranked HLA Alicante had an easy win 81-65. HLA Alicante made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Estela turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Justin Pitts (178-94, college: NW Missouri St., agency: Duran International) who scored that evening 17 points and 6 assists and Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) did not help to save the game for Estela. American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. HLA Alicante maintains first position in Silver with 20-4 record. Newly promoted Estela dropped to the third place with ten games lost. HLA Alicante will meet league's second-placed Zamorano on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Estela will play against Villarrobledo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
