Regular Season Round 41: SeaHorses - Yokohama BC 73-70

Sixth-ranked Yokohama BC (11-30) made lots of trouble for third ranked Aishin Sea Horses (23-18) in Kariya on Saturday. Aishin Sea Horses managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Kennedy Meeks (208-95, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Alex Stepheson (208-87, college: USC) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: NC State) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aishin Sea Horses have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the sixth position with 30 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses is again looking forward to face Yokohama BC (#6) at home in the next round. Yokohama BC will have a break next round.
