Second Stage Round 12: Vytis - Suduva-Mantinga 104-91

The game between Top Four teams took place in Sakiai. First ranked host Vytis (30-9) defeated second-best Suduva-Mantinga (29-11) 104-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Suduva-Mantinga. Vytis shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and the former international guard Sarunas Vingelis (196-89) who added 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) with 17 points and Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis maintains first position with 30-9 record. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Vytis are looking forward to face Telsiai (#4) in Telsiu in the next round. Suduva-Mantinga will play on the road against Perlas in Vilnius and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
