An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jihlava. Third ranked GBA Sparta faced 4th placed Vysocina. Guests from Praha (12-10) smashed host Vysocina (11-12) 86-62. GBA Sparta players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Estonian forward Artur Konontsuk (198-0) nailed 21 points for the winning side and forward David Pekarek (201-96, college: Fordham) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds. Five GBA Sparta players scored in double figures. Center Pavel Ciha (201-92) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Miroslav Krajcigr (178-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vysocina in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GBA Sparta moved-up to second place in Places 7-12. Vysocina at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. GBA Sparta's next round opponent will be Pardubice (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. Vysocina will play against BK Loko Plzen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
