Second Stage Round 4: Ramla - Ashdod 73-92

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Ramla (16-6) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were rolled over by Ashdod (16-6) 92-73. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Ashdod made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Victoria Vivians (185-94, college: Mississippi St.) fired 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 25 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ashdod players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ashdod have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Ramla. Ashdod is looking forward to face Maccabi Ramat Gan (#4) in Ramat Hen in the next round. Ramla will play on the road against Petah Tikva and is hoping to win this game.
