Finals Game 1: Al-Riffa - Muharraq 92-93

Muharraq snatched a narrow win over Riffa in the Finals opener. 26 personal fouls committed by Al-Riffa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Kevin Murphy (197-90, college: Tenn Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Muharraq's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Shawne Williams (206-86, college: Memphis) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and center Arinze Onuaku (206-87, college: Syracuse) added 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Al-Riffa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
