Piestanske Cajky outgunned Banska Bystrica to advance into the semifinal stage. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Banska Bystrica's 20. Piestanske C. forced 22 Banska Bystrica turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 23 on the defensive glass. Canadian center Jessica Lubin (185-90, college: UQAM) notched 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Monica Engelman (180-91, college: Kansas) supported her with 11 points. Four Piestanske C. players scored in double figures. Even 5 points by point guard Michaela Ozdincova (170-92) did not help to save the game for Banska Bystrica. Klaudia Haberova (173-99) added 7 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
