The most exciting game of round 26 in the LEB Gold took place in Melilla. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Melilla Baloncesto (17-9) to thirteenth ranked Leyma Basquet (10-16) 70-67 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Melilla Baloncesto. Leyma Basquet made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Forward Sergi Pino (197-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Canadian-Nigerian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vasilije Vucetic (209-96) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Melilla Baloncesto. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leyma Basquet maintains thirteenth position with 10-16 record. Melilla Baloncesto at the other side keeps the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Leyma Basquet are looking forward to face higher ranked CB Granada (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Carramimbre (#8) in Valladolid and is hoping to win this game.
